WHEN YOU ARRIVE

To safeguard your purchase and to provide for accurate event accounting, digital ticket scanning is utilized which ensures each ticket is valid. Your tickets will be scanned by an usher upon entering the main seating area. Please have your tickets out and ready to be scanned. This provides for contactless and efficient entry into the theater.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY

The main floor level seats, as well as all restrooms, are handicapped accessible. Expanded wheelchair seating is available throughout the orchestra level.  Please make any accessibility needs you may have known at time of ticket purchase so we can provide the best accommodations.

HEARING ENHANCEMENT SYSTEM

The Southern Door Community Auditorium  is equipped with an FM frequency assisted hearing system that provides an in-ear earbud with a direct house audio feed. This device must be requested in advance by emailing boxoffice@sdauditorium.org. A driver’s license or valid state ID will be held until the device is returned at the performance’s conclusion.

CAMERAS AND RECORDING

Contract agreements with the artists generally prohibit the use of cameras, camcorders and other recording devices during a performance, unless special permission is obtained.  For performers’ safety and as a courtesy to performers and patrons, flash photography is strictly prohibited.  SDCA staff reserves the right to confiscate any devices and/or escort patrons from the performance – with no refund – that capture any audio and/or visual elements of the show.

CELL PHONES & OTHER DISTRACTIONS

Cell phones should not be used during performances. SDCA staff reserves the right to ask any attendee to step out of the performance. Ticket buyers and performers want to enjoy shows that are free of noise and distraction. The venue reserves the right to ask anyone to leave if their behavior is disruptive to others. Refunds will not be given if any of the above conditions have been met.

LATECOMERS

To ensure a distraction-free performance for both the artists and the audience, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of our volunteer ushers during a suitable pause in the performance.  Reserved seating selection is not guaranteed for those who arrive after a performance begins.

CHILDREN

Family entertainment is a priority, but not all shows are appropriate for all ages. When events are considered to appeal primarily to an adult audience, SDCA discourages attendance by children. Fire Code requires all audience members (even those of lap-sitting size) to have a ticket.

DELAYS

Although every attempt is made to begin on time, the SDCA reserves the right to delay the start of an event in order to respond to technical, weather, or other unforeseen situations.

CANCELLED OR RESCHEDULED PERFORMANCES

Performance dates, times, and programs are subject to change.  In the event of a cancelled performance, the SDCA will make every attempt to contact all ticket holders via email only and social media channels. Announcements may also be distributed to local radio and TV stations. A rescheduled or comparable performance may be offered; however, refunds will be available to patrons who cannot take advantage of a substituted event. Because events may reschedule, dates and programs are subject to change.

WEATHER-RELATED CANCELLATIONS

SDCA events are only canceled if performers cannot make it due to weather.  No refunds will be issued to audience members who cannot attend a presented performance.

ALCOHOL AND SMOKING

Alcohol, as well as the use of tobacco products, including e-cigs and vaping devices, is prohibited on the  grounds due to the venue being connected to the Southern Door County School District.

FIREARMS & WEAPONS

The carrying of firearms or other weapons within the SDCA or on the grounds of Southern Door County Schools is strictly prohibited.

LOST ITEMS
